New shoes should always be impregnated before putting them to use.
Impregnation forms a protective layer on the leather that creates a water-repellent effect, helps ward off dirt and protects the exterior of the footwear. It is important to seal leather and suede footwear regularly to maintain the protective coating.
Always clean your footwear with a damp cloth prior to impregnation to avoid the sealant from not sticking.
We recommend to impregnate leather and suede footwear with 2 or 3 thin coats rather than a single thick coat.
